52 WoC – Week 4

This weekend there was a new moon in Aquarius and the Lunar New Year. You could say, it’s another opportunity for new beginnings, setting intentions, and letting go of things that are no longer serving you to move forward. That said, this weeks question is:

What do you want more of this year?

When I first started goal setting and contemplating what I wanted in the future my answers to this type of question were always material. A house, a nice car, travel… Those things aren’t inherently bad and they don’t have to be the limit to what you think about when you answer this question.

For me some of the things I want more of this year include:
💖 feeling confident in speaking up and speaking out
💖 building multiple income streams to help secure my families future (tech and other industries, the company I work for included, did a lot of layoffs this year and I want to know if I lose my job I won’t go to $0 income over night)
💖 being comfortable being myself and taking up space
💖 prioritizing time for rest, recovery, and my health
💖 cultivating deep relationships of trust
💖 taking time for creativity
💖 tuning in to my intuition and inner knowing

In thinking about what you want more of in your life you could also consider questions like:
💭 what do I want to learn?
💭 what are my values?
💭 what helps me stay grounded?
💭 what mantras or affirmations resonate with me?
💭 what can I focus on that matters to me?

There is no right or wrong way to answer this question. If your list is purely material that’s ok. I would not be sad if I were able to experience driving sports/super cars, buying a camper and traveling around the country to different National Parks, or visiting a planetarium and really seeing the stars and planets. At different times in our lives different things will be a priority for us and we should honor and acknowledge that.

The more we can take the time to sit quietly and really listen to what our hearts desire the more we can hone our ability to really hear and see other people, to know what is right for us, and to best navigate the constant pace of change in the world.

This exercise is also about giving yourself the freedom and space to dream a little bigger. Sometimes we limit ourselves to what we feel is reasonable or that we can perceive for ourselves but I think sometimes it’s nice to hope for something that feels just a little out of reach.

If there are things you want more of this year feel free to drop them in the comments. Perhaps someone else can help you with what you’re looking for or can share some insight to support your hopes and dreams.
