Today we ventured down to Provo to pick up my Bodhi Yoga 7 Chakras Mind & Body – Advanced Chakra Therapy Certification manual. It felt like a return home in some ways because when I was working on my 200-hour Teacher Certification I found out by our second session I was pregnant with my second baby, Kira.
Today she was able to come see the space and both kids found some of my favorite things while we were there. They saw the wild grapes growing outside and the pretty moss on the roof of the building. There was an incredible class in session while we were there and the energy is always something that feels just right. Plus seeing my yoga teacher, Syl, was everything my heart and soul needed. When I see her it’s the comfort of a dear friend no matter how long it’s been and her support and confidence in all of us who choose to learn with her is truly special.
So, today I have my manual and I’m excited to dig into things. I started watching some of the online videos but I’ll go back and watch them again now that I have my manual and I can take some notes and do the exercises along the way.
If you don’t know what the chakras are Syl provides an overview of the certification and the things that are learned in the program at the bottom of this page. I have found value from The Sanskrit Channel on YouTube to help understand many yoga related topics, Sanskrit pronunciations and meanings, and what are the chakras. If you’re interested in going deeper for your own personal study the book Eastern Body, Western Mind by Anodea Judith as a great resource.
All that being said, if you have any questions about the chakras feel free to leave them in the comments and if it is something I study through this certification program I can create a blog post to share what I’m learning. Otherwise I plan to share insights as I go along so you’ll definitely see updates as I progress through this program.
